Tolerance and the City 7th Summer Symposium 2010

University Wits as Agents of Change

The 7th Tolerance and the City Summer Symposium will take place at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway. The conference aims to explore the urban interaction between the circles of university wits and, in turn, how these influenced and shaped the literary, political, legal and religious aspects of society. Tolerance and the City is now a part of the Early Modern Research Group network, which includes a peer-reviewed Open Access journal, Early Modern Culture Online, EMCO, as well as the book series Early Modern and Modern Studies, EMMS, published by Fabrizio Serra Editore, Pisa-Rome.
